All our CCTV systems feature a selection of IP cameras, of which the amount is dependent on your needs and requirements, a Network Digital Recorder – which can record at upto 8MP resolution (4K) and hard drive (for storage of footage).

IP systems offer high picture quality, flexibility and a much less disruptive installation. CCTV IP offers integration with other IP based systems such as access control, intruder alarms and doorbell systems. IP systems are future proof and far more economical in the long run than outdated analogue systems.

 

Analogue systems no longer offer the user full security. The reason we say this is analogue is now quite an old technology. During video playback, you’ll notice that it is rather jumpy; so, if there was a person walking past your house for example, in the space of a few seconds, you will see them on the left and then all of a sudden, they are on the right. The footage isn’t smooth like digital. Digital systems take between 20 – 45 frames per second, allowing for a smooth transition just like taking a video on your phone for example – no gaps in the footage. This allows for optimal security and peace of mind.

 

Another aspect to bear in mind is the image quality – or resolution. It goes without saying, the higher the resolution the clearer the video imagery. Keep in mind, that the higher the resolution of the cameras, the more bandwidth and hard drive space you will need to transfer and store it and they also come at a higher price.
